This study presents a novel approach to manufacturing adaptive personalized ankle-foot orthoses (AFOs) using 3D printing and on-site carbon fiber reinforcement to enhance stiffness and customization. The proposed method allows for efficient patient-specific designs that can be reinforced in the field, improving gait quality and comfort. Experimental and computational analyses demonstrate significant improvements in mechanical performance compared to traditional 3D printed AFOs.
