What is Bolouki OpticalIllusion about?

This document discusses a project aimed at explaining optical illusions through transient invariant sparse coding and the human visual processing system. It covers the structure of the visual system, the application of sparse coding models, and experiments conducted to investigate brightness and watercolor illusions, as well as the Zollner illusion. The results indicate that the experiments did not successfully demonstrate the expected illusory effects, and suggestions for future research are provided.
