About this document
Campaign Finance Overview and Sources by TARSEHS is a document available to read on EtoBox.
The Federal Election Commission administers all federal campaign finance laws and oversees two main sources of campaign funding: private contributions from individuals, PACs, and fundraisers, as well as public funding from the treasury. Political Action Committees are extensions of special interest groups that have a stake in public policy. The Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2002 banned soft money contributions to political parties that were given to state and local organizations for voting activities.
