What is Poems Celebrating Snakes about?

The document contains two poems about snakes - "A narrow Fellow in the Grass" by Emily Dickinson, and "Snake" by D.H. Lawrence. Both poems describe encounters with snakes in nature and the fear and fascination they invoke in the observers. The Lawrence poem in particular describes his encounter with a snake drinking from his water trough on a hot day in Sicily, and the internal conflict between his instincts to kill it and his appreciation for its visit.
