In the present work, the copper oxide nanoparticles (CuO Nps) was synthesized via chemical co-precipitation method for the detection of Mycophenolate mofetil (MMF). The synthesized Nps were characterised using traditional techniques namely X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and EDAX studies which showed better crystallinity with particle size of around 26 nm. The physiological pH of 7.4 was maintained throughout the studies. CuO Nps fabricated carbon paste electrode (CuO/FCPE) showed a considerable electroactive surface area with contrast to BCPE and showed better sensitivity and stable current responses. Further various other studies such as sweep rate, concentration, pH studies were carried out which showed lower LOQ and LOD i.e. 0.5 and 0.15 μM respectively. The developed electrode showed greater stability around 94% by retaining its activity. The fabricated electrode further studied for practical analysis of MMF in human urine trial which showed greater recovery of MMF in range of 96%-99%.
