What is Lure Coursing for Sighthound Breeds about?

Lure coursing is a competitive dog sport primarily for purebred sighthounds, where dogs chase a mechanical lure across a designated course. Competitions include various trials such as the Coursing Ability Test (CAT) and Fast CAT, with specific qualifications and titles awarded based on performance. The sport is governed by organizations like the American Sighthound Field Association (ASFA) and the American Kennel Club (AKC), each with their own rules and judging criteria.
