About this document
Slurry Transport: Minimum Flow Velocity by ram_babu_59 is a document available to read on EtoBox.
To avoid settling of solids in slurry transport systems, minimum flow velocities must be maintained based on the type and size of solids in the slurry. Fine solids require velocities between 1-1.5 m/s, sand between 1.5-2 m/s, coarse solids between 2-3.25 m/s, and sludge between 3.25-4.25 m/s. Pipeline diameters can be adjusted to increase or decrease velocities as needed.
