This study examined the relationship between post-stroke pain and suicidal ideation in Chinese patients with acute ischemic stroke. The study found that patients with suicidal ideation were more likely to experience pain, had higher pain scores, and were more likely to have pain scores above 4 compared to patients without suicidal ideation. After adjusting for confounding factors like depression, a pain score above 4 remained a significant predictor of suicidal ideation.
