This study evaluated the antibacterial activity of Carica papaya leaf extracts against urinary tract isolates. Carica papaya leaves were extracted with ethanol, then partitioned into chloroform and water fractions. Disc diffusion tests found the ethanol extract was active against E. coli and K. pneumoniae at 1000μg/disc.
