This study characterized PD-L1 expression and immune cell infiltration in nasopharyngeal cancer (NPC) tumor samples. The researchers found that 75% of tumor samples expressed PD-L1 on infiltrating immune cells and 24% expressed PD-L1 on tumor cells. Higher levels of CD8+ T-cell infiltration correlated with better clinical outcomes, but results were confounded by other factors.
