What is Going Wrong (Parallel Press Chapbook Series) about?

2009 & 2010 Wisconsin poet laureate Marilyn Taylor has written a collection of free-verse poetry that touches on the vagaries of human nature. The poems capture everything from love between eighty-year-olds to the sounds of nighttime crickets. She describes the angst that sneaks up on those of us who have felt young all our lives, and who are astounded to discover that this may not be the case anymore. Dear old moon of a face, / youve been looking back at me / for decades now. / . . . Maybe Ill take you to town tonight, tricked out in gilt and camouflage . . . while we knock a few back, / shoot the breeze, and bathe together / in your faded borrowed light.
