What is Index to Reviews about?
## Review the fiche, are easy to read, better than those of the Archivio Biografico de Espana, Portugal e Iberoamerica, since they are colored. The fact that individual fiche are consecutively numbered and that numbered fields are provided on each fiche, allows for clear citations in scientific publications. Depending on the structure of the specific reference work used, the Archivio Biografico Italiano contains information on the biography and on the publications of the individual treated, as well as content descriptions and secondary literature. The Indice Biografico Italiano, provided free of charge with the Archivio Biografico Italiano, quickly provides the user with information on the individuals listed on the microfiche. Up to now, all similar projects -starting with Giammaria Mazzuchelli's unfinished Gli scrittori d'ltalia, published between 1753 and 1763 -have failed. K. G.
