What is HAART Adherence in Homeless HIV Patients about?
This study examined adherence to HIV medication (HAART) among 644 homeless or unstably housed individuals living with HIV/AIDS in three US cities. The study found that 55% of participants were currently taking HAART, with 78% reporting 100% adherence over two days and 81% reporting at least 90% adherence over seven days. Logistic regression revealed that younger age, lack of health insurance, and drug use were associated with poorer two-day adherence. Lower mental health scores and greater depression/stress
