This study investigates the use of microalgae Chlorella vulgaris for the bioremediation of textile wastewater (TWW) and simultaneous biodiesel production. Results indicate that C. vulgaris exhibits the highest growth and pollutant removal efficiency in diluted TWW, achieving 99.7% methylene blue decolorization and 99.7% chemical oxygen demand removal. The findings suggest that cultivating C. vulgaris in undiluted TWW is a more sustainable approach, reducing the need for freshwater in the growth medium.
