About this document

Access Input Masking Tutorial by Gustavo Pereira is a document available to read on EtoBox.

Input masks in Access 2013 allow users to format data input into fields. Masks use codes to dictate the type and layout of information, like a social security number mask of 000-00-0000. Masks are set up by adding a field, selecting its data type, and entering the mask code in the Input Mask property. Mask codes have three sections separated by semicolons that specify the format, whether literal characters are stored, and placeholder symbols. Different code characters accept different data types like digits
