What is Understanding Clay: Types and Uses about?

Group 10 submitted their clay project. Clay is a soft, fine-grained natural material composed of clay particles less than 0.005 mm in diameter. It is not a single mineral, but a number of minerals. Clay is used to make pottery, bricks, tiles and is found almost everywhere in the world formed from weathered rocks. The earliest evidence of clay usage dates back 20,000 years ago in China. Different types of clay produce earthenware, stoneware or porcelain depending on the minerals and firing conditions used.
