What is The Effect of Nicotine on Two Different Types of Learning about?

Rats of Roman High and Low Avoidance strains were trained in two tasks i.e. the Hebb-Williams maze and shuttle box. Immediately after each daffy trial the experimental subjects were injected with 0.8 mg/kg dose of nicotine tartrate. Distilled water was administered to a control group. The results suggest that maze learning was enhanced by nicotine. The same dose of nicotine tartrate had no effect on the escape-avoidance task.
