In 1692 in Salem Village, Massachusetts, Betty Parris and Abigail Williams began behaving strangely, allegedly due to witchcraft. They accused three local women - Tituba, Sarah Good, and Sarah Osbourne - of bewitching them. During the trials, Tituba confessed to practicing witchcraft and named others.
