What is Jack-Knife with Integrated Cam Caps about?

This patent describes a jackknife consisting of only four main parts that can be produced very economically. The knife has a holder composed of two injection molded plastic parts joined by interlocking connectors. One part has an integral spring tongue that acts on a tiltable latch lever in the holder. The latch lever engages a notch in the back of the hinged blade to fix it in the open position. This simple two-part holder construction allows for low-cost mass production.
