What is The First Thanksgiving Explained about?

The Pilgrims left England in 1620 aboard the Mayflower to seek religious freedom in America. They settled in Plymouth after a difficult 65-day voyage with 102 passengers in cramped conditions. Life in the new colony was hard as they built homes and suffered from diseases in the harsh winter, resulting in many deaths. Those who survived the first year held a three-day feast in the fall of 1621 to celebrate their first successful corn harvest and give thanks, with the help and teachings of Native Americans.
