What is Evils of Religion in the Dark Ages about?

During the dark ages and 1600s, people believed all events were acts of God or the devil and would imprison or kill those who disagreed. The inquisition and witch hunters would burn innocent men and women alive due to their blind faith. Over time, people started to see the corruption of the church and that priests were no holier than others as Galileo was even imprisoned by the Roman Catholic church at one point.
