The Himachal Gaurav Purskar was established in 1992 to honor individuals and groups in Himachal Pradesh for their achievements and acts of bravery. Eligible categories include life-saving acts, contributions to arts, social work, science, and sports. Up to four awards may be given each year, with cash prizes and citations.
