All three pediatric risk scoring systems - PRISM, PIM, and PIM2 - demonstrated acceptable ability to discriminate between patients who died and survived in a pediatric intensive care unit in China. Specifically, PRISM and PIM2 showed good calibration, while PIM did not calibrate as well. A positive correlation was observed between the scores from the three systems. Overall, the PRISM score performed well and could be applied in PICUs in China.
