This document presents a foraminifera zonation for the Turonian to Campanian stages in the La Luna and Lower Umir Formations in the Middle Magdalena Valley Basin of northern Colombia. Six planktonic foraminifera zones are established for the La Luna Formation based on 133 samples analyzed from one well: the Whiteinella archaeocretacea, Helvetoglobotruncana helvetica, Marginotruncana sigali, Dicarinella primitiva, Dicarinella concavata, and Dicarinella asymetrica zones.
