What is PPA about?

The Philippine Ports Authority appealed real property tax assessments made by the City of Davao against PPA-administered properties. While the appeal was pending, the city posted notices of sale for the delinquent properties. The Court of Tax Appeals later ruled the properties were tax-exempt and voided the assessments. The Supreme Court held that once the Court of Tax Appeals acquired jurisdiction over the tax appeal, the Court of Appeals no longer had jurisdiction to issue injunctive relief in the case.
