This study examines the rates of short interpregnancy intervals (IPIs) among women who received immediate postpartum long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) compared to those who did not. The study finds that women who received an immediate postpartum intrauterine device (IUD) or implant had lower rates of short IPI delivery and pregnancy than those who did not receive immediate postpartum LARC.
