This study investigates the utility of vibration perception thresholds (VPT) as a diagnostic tool for diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) in type 2 diabetes patients. Results indicate that VPT is significantly associated with DPN presence, with age, height, diabetes duration, and mean HbA1c levels being independent correlates. The findings suggest that VPT testing could serve as an effective screening method for DPN assessment.
