About this document
LUTS and Fall Risk in Elderly Men by Tamas Kalmar is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This study evaluated the relationship between lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) and fall risk in male patients over 65 years old, involving 183 participants. Results indicated that higher scores on the International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS) correlated with increased fall risk as measured by the Morse Fall Scale (MFS), with a significant area under the ROC curve of 78.4%. The findings suggest that LUTS screening should include an assessment of fall risk in this demographic.
