This study evaluates the use of roostertree (Calotropis procera) biomass as green manure to optimize arugula (Eruca sativa) production in semi-arid regions. The research found that applying 59.26 t ha-1 of roostertree biomass resulted in the highest economic efficiency, yielding a net income of BRL 111,007.64 per hectare and a return rate of BRL 4.65 for every real invested. The findings suggest that using C. procera biomass is a viable agricultural practice for enhancing arugula production in these areas.
