This study evaluated the effectiveness of combining functional electrical stimulation (FES) with conventional speech therapy for treating dysphagia in acute stroke patients. Results showed significant improvement in oral ingestion scores for both treatment groups, but no additional benefits from FES were observed compared to conventional therapy alone.
