The document compares vibration models of small arms barrels through simulations. Four models were created: 1) a bare barrel, 2) a bare barrel with compensator, 3) a barrel with accessories, and 4) a barrel with accessories and compensator. The models were loaded with internal pressures and projectile motion from firing. Deflections at the muzzle were measured and showed that accessories and additional weights changed the character and magnitude of barrel oscillations.
