About this document
HIV Seroconversion After Nonoccupational PEP by terkamix1 is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This study evaluates the occurrence of HIV seroconversion following nonoccupational postexposure prophylaxis (PEP) in individuals exposed to HIV through sexual or injection drug use. Out of 877 subjects, only 7 (1%) experienced seroconversion, indicating that PEP is not fully effective in preventing HIV infection after nonoccupational exposure. The findings highlight the need for primary prevention strategies and the challenges in determining the source of seroconversion in nonoccupational settings.
