What is Flash Floods Impact Penang Areas about?

Heavy rains caused flash floods in several areas of Penang, Malaysia on October 23, 2018. The two hour downpour flooded Balik Pulau, Teluk Kumbar and other parts of Penang island as well as Butterworth, Prai and other mainland areas. Forty-six people were evacuated from their homes due to the flooding. The worst hit areas included Teluk Kumbar, Balik Pulau and nearby housing estates. Flood waters began receding in some areas after the rains stopped.
