What is Attitudes and Performance: Its implications on Selection and Recruitment among Teachers at Crescent International School about?
The job performance and attitude of teachers of Crescent International School, Bangkok, Thailand has been analysed along with demographic variables to find meaningful insights that can help in the selection and recruitment process of teachers for the school. Quantitative research is used in the study. Five performance determining factors (planning, instruction, assessment, learning environment and professionalism) are used to calculate an average performance score for the teachers. These performance factors along with demographic variables and six types of attitude e.g. attitude towards students, attitude words parents, attitude towards profession, attitude towards administration, attitude towards subjects and attitude towards administration is analysed to find meaningful relation between the variables. Unlike other jobs, teaching requires extra involvement of sharing and caring between teacher (employee) and the student (client). This interactive role requires extra quality of a person to be hired as a teacher.
