The Muarajambi Temple Compound Site in Jambi Province, Sumatra contains the ruins of at least 82 ancient brick buildings from the 7th-14th century, when it served as a center of Buddhist worship and education. Seven temple compounds have been conserved, while the remaining structures are surrounded by vegetation.
