Varietal trial was conducted to assess the growth and yield of five upland rice varieties (IDSA 85, FARO 11, FARO 43, Canada and FARO 46 in Cross River State, Nigeria using a 5 x 5 factorial combination fitted into a split-plot design with three replications was used for the study. FARO 46 and FARO 43 had the best performance at all locations and have been designated potential high yielding varieties and are therefore recommended.
