This book is Volume 128 in the book series, Developments in Cardiovascular Medicine. It arose from the first biannual Meeting of the Working Group on Nuclear Cardiology (Rotterdam, 22-23 March, 1991) held under auspices of the ESC and the Interuniversity Cardiology Institute of The Netherlands (ICIN), and Second International Symposium on Computer Applications in Nuclear Medicine and Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging, which was organized as a precongress meeting (20-22 March, 1991). The editors have successfully compiled tutorial presentations of the most distinguished speakers in the field of single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The book is divided into five sections, each section having several chapters.
