Malala Yousafzai is a Pakistani activist for female education and the youngest Nobel Prize laureate. She advocates for education rights for women and girls in her home region of Swat Valley in Pakistan, where the Taliban had banned girls from attending school. In 2012, she was shot by the Taliban but survived and has continued her advocacy internationally. She has received numerous honors including the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014 for her work on children
