The boring log describes the soil composition at a borehole location for a highway project. Silty clay layers were found from 1-6 meters depth, becoming more elastic and plastic with depth. These soils had medium to high plasticity. Below this was a silty sand layer from 12-13 meters depth, consisting of fine sand that was loose and non-plastic. Standard penetration tests were conducted throughout.
