What is Understanding the Game of Sipa about?
Sipa is the Philippine national sport which involves kicking a ball without letting it touch the ground. It predates Spanish rule and there are three variations: washer, rattan ball, and simplified versions. The washer version uses a lead washer or knotted rubber bands as the ball, while the rattan ball version uses an interwoven rattan ball.
