We have measured the field-dependence of critical current and magnetisation in the superconducting phase of a single crystal of UPt . At low temperatures the critical current shows a peak below H , which is also seen in measurements of the magnetic hysterisis. The onset of the peak does not coincide with the transition between the B and C superconducting phases, which is consistent with measurements of the magnetic hysterisis.
