This study aimed to validate an Indonesian language version of the 12-item General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES-12) using Bayesian confirmatory factor analysis. The GSES-12 was administered to 303 Indonesian university students and the results supported a higher-order factor structure representing self-efficacy. The validated Indonesian GSES-12 is concluded to be a valid tool for measuring self-efficacy in Indonesian populations and facilitates examination of self-efficacy constructs in these groups.
