The space modulation method allows the creation of amplitude modulation by radiating the carrier signal and sideband signals from separate antennas. The signals then combine in space to produce the amplitude modulated waveform, with the sideband signal combining either in-phase or 180° out-of-phase with the carrier signal. This method is used to generate the VOR signal.
