About this document
Ammonia Removal via Steam Stripping by dhavalesh is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This document summarizes a study on removing ammonia from metal smelting wastewater via steam stripping. Laboratory experiments were conducted using synthetic wastewaters to evaluate the effects of wastewater composition and pH adjustment methods on ammonia equilibrium and mass transfer rates. A small pilot steam stripping unit was also tested. The results showed that over 99.9% ammonia removal could be achieved with high steam to water flow rates of 3.8 lb/gal. Higher temperatures and caustic pH adjustment
