About this document
Kelland 2020 Increased Yield and Co2 Sequestration Potential With The c4 Cereal Sorghum Bicolor Cultivated in Basaltic Rock Dust Amended Agric by gmayrink.optionline is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This research investigates the effects of amending agricultural soil with crushed basalt on the yield and CO2 sequestration potential of the C4 cereal Sorghum bicolor. Results indicate that basalt amendment significantly increased crop yield by 21% and enhanced CO2 sequestration rates of 2-4 t CO2/ha, demonstrating the potential of enhanced rock weathering as a carbon dioxide removal strategy. The study supports the deployment of basalt in agricultural practices to improve soil health and crop productivity
