What is Understanding Load Break Switches about?

A load break switch is a disconnect switch that has been designed to safely interrupt electric current flow. It can make or break specified currents by quickly operating the disconnect switch blade and altering the arcing phenomenon using additional equipment. Load break switches can be supplied with arcing horns, springs, or vacuum/SF6 interrupters to provide limited load switching capability at lower and higher voltages by safely de-energizing or energizing circuits with load or fault currents.
