Can I read Atmospheric and Solar Neutrinos with a Heavy Singlet on EtoBox?

Atmospheric and Solar Neutrinos with a Heavy Singlet by S.F. King is a Physics and Astronomy article available to read on EtoBox.

What is Atmospheric and Solar Neutrinos with a Heavy Singlet about?

We follow a minimalistic approach to neutrino masses, by introducing a single heavy singlet N into the standard model Ž . or supersymmetric standard model with a heavy Majorana mass M, which couples as a single right-handed neutrino in a Dirac fashion to leptons, and induces a single light see-saw mass m ; 5 = 10 y2 eV, leaving two neutrinos massless. This n trivial extension to the standard model may account for the atomospheric neutrino data via n TM n oscillations with near m t maximal mixing angle u ; pr4 and D m 2 ; 2.5 = 10 y3 eV 2 . In order to account for the solar neutrino data the model is 23 mt extended to SUSY GUTr string-inspired type models which can naturally yield an additional light tau neutrino mass y3 Ž . 2 y5 2 m ; few = 10 eV leading to n TM cosu n y sinu n oscillations with D m ; 10 eV and a mixing angle n e L 23 m L 23 t L e 1 t sin 2 2u f 10 y2 in the correct range for the small angle MSW solution to the solar neutrino problem. The model predicts 1 Ž . 2 y3 2 n TM sinu n q cosu n oscillations with a similar angle but a larger splitting D m ; 2.5 = 10 eV . q 1998
