1) The Carrillo Elementary School Docents helped plant a native cactus garden at their school with assistance from Dave Palzkill and Patsy and Joe Frannea from the Cactus Rescue Crew. 2) Each docent selected a cactus to plant and filled out an information sheet with details about their cactus. Reference guides helped identify botanical names. 3) The garden will be added to the La Pilita Museum curriculum for docent tours, with cactus information added later in the fall after school resumes.
