What is John Pardon: Princeton Mathematician about?

John Pardon is an American mathematician who works on geometry and topology. He solved a longstanding problem posed by Mikhail Gromov about the distortion of knots, for which he received the 2012 Morgan Prize. After graduating from Princeton University as valedictorian, Pardon received his Ph.D. from Stanford University under Yakov Eliashberg and is now a full professor of mathematics at Princeton.
