What is Scaphoid Megalourethra in a Child about?

A 7-year-old boy presented with a dilated urethra since birth. Physical examination revealed an enlarged penis with redundant skin. Imaging showed marked dilatation of the penile urethra and grade I left vesicoureteral reflux. The patient was diagnosed with scaphoid megalourethra, a rare congenital anomaly where the corpus spongiosum is deficient, causing anterior urethral dilatation. He underwent reduction urethroplasty and at one-year follow up was asymptomatic and the reflux had resolved.
